IDD Codes and Country Codes

IDD codes are an international dialing code used to call out of the country when making a phone call as an international call. This could also be called an international access code. Country codes is a way for you to call another country in the United States. If you are in the United States the phone code is 1 and then you would dial the IDD code after the 1. So, to call internationally you would dial 1 and then followed by the area code.

IDD code example would be if you are calling to Sydney, Australia would be (02) then continuing with the number.

A country code example would be 1 (916) 717-2562. If I would be calling my uncle that lives in Italy, the international access code would be 011 and then the country code is 39, then you would add your local phone number.
